After the Storm

I drove through some nasty weather this afternoon on the way home from visiting my mom. I was treated to a spectacular view on top of one of the mountains, however. This photo doesn't do it justice since it was hard to photograph because there was such a wide dynamic range between light and dark. This one came out the best of all that I took.

    Do you have an idea what the elevation is? Your up high and or the cloud is awful low

      Hey Don, I was at an elevation of around 1600 feet. The mountains behind the clouds are 1000+ feet. There's something about this area because I've seen low clouds like this on a number of occasions in valleys between other mountain ridges. They're really pretty to look at.
