Rocky Gap State Park

It was such a beautiful sunny day today so I took a trip out to Rocky Gap State Park.  Here are a few of my photos from that trip:

Most of the country has had a colder than normal winter.  The photo below illustrates that fact perfectly.  I took this photo exactly one year ago today and it was taken near the same spot as the last photo above.  Looks a little colder, doesn't it?!

  1. That is a beautiful area. Day before yesterday we still had snow in shaded areas only and yesterday it finally melted. Is that your fishing pole in the lower right?

    1. Don, glad your snow finally melted. I wish ours would. I love going to Rocky Gap at different times during the year because each season brings its own beauty. It was beautiful with the ice but I'm looking forward to when it looks more like the photo above. Actually, I'm looking forward to April when the redbuds are in bloom. That is not my fishing pole in the photo. The lake is a popular fishing spot in warmer weather.
