Hummingbird

I have a special photo to share with you today. I took this photo last July. I love Rocky Gap State Park and I go there often to take photos. Last summer, I went out one morning after my radiation therapy and I saw some pretty red flowers on the other side of a drainage ditch. I walked around and got as close as I could. I wanted to take a photo so I could identify the flowers later. I put my camera on manual focus since there was so much vegetation it was confusing the auto focus. I had my camera focused on the pretty flowers when out of the corner of my eye I saw something flying. This beautiful hummingbird flew right into my photo. What a beautiful gift from God after a long 7 weeks of radiation therapy! I hope you enjoy the photo!

Pretty Tulips

Just wanted to share a pretty picture of my tulips that I took yesterday. I can't get out much so it's nice I can go out to my backyard to enjoy the flowers.

Full Moon

Here's a great shot that I took of the full moon a little while ago. I had to wait a little while for some clouds to disappear but it was worth the wait. I invested in a 300 mm zoom lens last year. One reason was to get better moon shots.

The photo that is the background for my blog is my favorite that I've taken so far at Rocky Gap State Park. I took it about a month ago. I love that park. I thought I'd post the photo separately so you can see all the beautiful reflections and shadows. It was such a beautiful day and perfect for capturing this shot. Enjoy!
